SHEATH PIPE:
Post-tensioned tendons are encapsulated within the deck in a duct which is usually manufactured in corrugated steel (sometimes galvanized) with a wall thickness between 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm. In the table the sizes of the most frequently used Sheath Pipe can be found.
The Sheath Pipe are normally supplied in 4-6 m lengths and are coupled on site. Sheath pipe are injected with cementitious grout, wax or other corrosion resistant compounds after stressing.
